Driver Qualifications
To be employed by us you must:

• Have a valid CDL with one year verifiable driving experience.
• Be at least 22 years of age.
• Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Have no DUI, DWI or reckless driving convictions within the past 5 years.
• Have no chargeable DOT reportable accident within the past 2 years, not more than 1 in the past 5 years.
• Have no more than 1 drivers license suspension in the past 5 years.
• Present a clean well groomed professional appearance.
• Pass other criteria as set forth in the hiring process.

Orientation
All persons offered employment will attend a day and a half orientation. Applicants who are not local to the area will receive free lodging and meals. Safety issues, hours of service training and company policies and procedures will be some of the subject matter covered in the orientation. At the completion of the orientation the individual will receive their truck assignment and be placed on dispatch.

Hometime
On average, our drivers are home weekly. The weekend time home will vary on the dispatch schedule but will generally be 32-48 hours.

Per Mile Rate

Mileage is based on PC Miler ® mileage system, practical miles. All miles are paid, including routing through house for home time.

Safety Bonus
The safety bonus is an annual program that pays 2 cents per mile for all paid miles within a year with no preventable accidents and other safety related criteria.

Longevity Pay Plan
Longevity pay plan that increases by 1/2 cent per mile every year after 5 years service at Pohl Transportation, Inc.

Vacations
The vacation schedule is as follows:

With 1 year of service	1 week paid vacation
With 2-6 years of service	2 weeks paid vacation
With 7-14 years of service	3 weeks paid vacation
With 15 plus years of service	4 weeks paid vacation

Vacation pay is based on your 52-week average

Layover Pay
Layovers are avoided, as they are generally no benefit to you or the company. If you are not dispatched within 24 hours of your empty check in call, you will be paid $40.00.

Holiday Pay
Holiday pay of $80.00 will be paid for 6 holidays annually.

Multiple Stop Pay
Drivers receive an extra $10.00 for each additional pickup and delivery.

Shag Pay
For situations where short trips or shuttles are involved, and 2 consecutive trips are less than 25 miles each, we pay $10.00 shag pay in addition to your regular mileage.

Pay Period
Payday is every Tuesday. Your check can be mailed, picked up at the office or direct deposited.

Health Insurance
Three health plan options are available; you select the option that best fits your needs. Also available: Dental Insurance, Short-Term Disability Insurance and a Vision Discount Program

Section 125 Flexible Spending Plan
Tax free insurance premiums. Non covered health expenses budgeted tax free. Daycare expenses tax free. The Flexible Spending Plan is a voluntary program provided for our employees benefit. Employees realize savings on their weekly paycheck by not paying tax on the above items. It is separate from the health insurance program.

401K Retirement
401K Retirement Plan is available after one year employment.

Communications
XATA Satellite Communications. All loads and routing provided over the system. No need to fill out trip sheets. Satellite reads when unit crosses state line and records mileage.

Equipment
All tractors are conventional standup double bunks with automatic transmissions. The tractors are equipped with collision avoidance system and lane departure system, two important safety features. Trailers are 53' dry vans

Passenger Policy
After 90 accident free days you can take a passenger over 16 years of age with written authorization from the company. Winter months prohibited.
