This week’s spot light is on Ron Hundley (Tractor 558).

Ron has been with Pohl Transportation since 2002 and driving over the road since 1987. Prior to driving over the road Ron had various jobs. Ron also served in the US Navy on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier out of Norfolk, VA from 1972-1975. Ron worked as an E3 machinist in the ship’s engine room. Thank you Ron for your service!

Ron says the biggest change he has noticed in the industry in general is driver’s attitudes. Ron has noticed that as more and more restrictions are placed on the driver from the freight industry and legislation, many drivers are either leaving the industry or are losing their pride for a job well done.

In his spare time Ron enjoys going to a “mud hole” to race his ATV, jeep or 4-wheel truck. Even though it’s not always fun, Ron says he spends a lot of time on his “honey-do” list. Unfortunately the list never shrinks – it only grows. When he has time Ron enjoys spending time with his grandkids and now 4 great grand-daughters.

Thank you Ron for being a part of the Pohl Transportation family.
