John started with Pohl Transportation in September 2016, but has been driving since 2005. Shortly after high school, John started at a warehouse as a machinist and forklift driver. After doing that for several years he decided he wanted a change, so he enrolled in truck driving school. And here we are!

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his best friend and wife, Lisa and their family and friends. One of their favorite past-times is riding 4 wheelers. He also enjoys riding with his grandson, Bently. John used to officiate high school football, baseball and softball games. He admits he doesn’t have the time to do it anymore, but always had a good time doing it. Someday he would like the opportunity to get back into officiating.

John said he would like to take Lisa to the Bahamas someday. One of John’s favorite mottos is “Don’t take life for granted.”
