Richard has been with Pohl Transportation for 2 years and has been driving OTR for 10 years. He ran coal for 10 years prior to that. Richard also worked several different jobs including concrete and construction, delivery services and operated heavy equipment and ‘dozers in the coal fields.

In his spare time, Richard likes to spend time with his wife, Patsy. They enjoy going to the movies and out to eat – or just lounging around. He said he doesn’t do it anymore, but has enjoyed riding ATV’s in the past.

Richard and Patsy have been making an annual trip to visit Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge. Recently they also took a trip to Williamstown, KY and visited the Ark Encounter. He said it was interesting and something different to do. In the future, Richard would like to get an RV and travel around the US and actually visit some of the places he has driven by or through, such as out west and Yellowstone National Park.
