Sam started with Pohl Transportation in June 2018 and started his OTR driving career in 1989. Before driving Sam did factory work. Sam likes to take one day at a time and tries to always be safe on the road. Sam did not serve in the military, but is very passionate that we need to support our troops and be grateful for their sacrifices.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys watching the Bengals, Colts, Reds and Rangers either in person or on TV. He also likes to watch racing – NASCAR, Indy and Formula 1. He has been to Texas Motor Speedway and tries to attend the Indy 500 every year. Sam collects mini (164 scale) semi-trucks and farm tractors, and dabbles in a little bit of photography when he can.

Sam would like to one day travel to France to watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans sports-car race. He would also like to watch a Formula 1 race in Europe, watch a football game in London and travel to Normandy to explore the history there.
