Johnny started with Pohl Transportation in May, 2020. Johnny began his driving career in 2013 working over the road pulling dry vans. Johnny said he likes the independence of the open road, getting an assignment and seeing it through until he finishes. Before driving, Johnny worked in several different fields including construction, cooking, warehousing and laying carpet/flooring.

When he isn’t working, Johnny enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, LaTonya and with his family and friends. Johnny has 5 kids and 3 grandchildren of whom he is very proud. When he is home, Johnny likes to just sit back and relax. In the past he used to help teach kids how to box. He really enjoyed that interaction with the kids and felt like it helped the kids have something to look forward to.

Johnny did a lot of traveling in his youth. He was born in Arizona, then his family moved to California where he went all the way through elementary school. His family then moved back to Arizona where he finished out high school. He currently lives in Maryland, but says he enjoys the West Coast better. He said those states give you the opportunity to ride and enjoy just about every recreational vehicle possible year-round.
