Marquez started with Pohl Transportation in October, and brought with him over 2 years of over the road experience pulling dry box, refer and containers. Marquez has been around driving his whole life; his father, grandfather and some uncles have all driven over the years. It seemed like a natural move for Marquez to start in the industry. Marquez enjoys driving and seeing different parts of the country. He said it’s a great way to make good money and get ahead in life. Before he started driving, Marquez worked different part time jobs, such as the auto repair department at Wal Mart and some fast-food restaurants.

When he’s not working, Marquez enjoys spending time with his family. He and his girlfriend, Kendra have 2 young children, ages 3 and 9 months. The little ones keep them busy, but they love it. Marquez also enjoys playing video games and basketball, going to the arcade and shopping.

Marquez is working hard on building a good foundation for his family, and saving for a place of their own. In the future he would like to be able to own his own truck. He would also like to do some traveling including cruises to the Bahamas and Jamaica, and visiting New York and Los Angeles.
