This week’s Driver Spotlight is on Richard Tucker (Tractor 754)

Richard has been a part of the Pohl Transportation Family since 2012. Before joining Pohl, he drove for 7 years prior doing flatbed, reefer, and heavy equipment work. Richard saw Pohl Transportation was hiring in the local newspaper in Bowling Green, KY and made the move to our team!

A few things that Richard says he really enjoys about working for Pohl Transportation are that they take care of you and you are not just a number. If you need off for anything, he says to communicate well with them. He says they are good at getting you home and pay good. When Richard first started driving, he said everyone used to have a CB and now there has been a decreased use in them. At first Richard wasn’t a fan of the e-logs, but now he says it is easier and forces you to take a 10-hour break. In all his years of driving, Richard has seen great changes in the safety features on the truck, fuel prices and now has seen effects from COVID.

Richard’s words to any potential drivers coming to Pohl is to make the change; they are a great company and you won’t have any regrets. Richard left us with his favorite kind of food to eat: Hardy’s breakfast of a pork chop, gravy, biscuit and hashbrowns, and his favorite snack to grab on the go is Lance crackers.

Thank you, Richard, for being a part of the Pohl Transportation Family.
