Eric has been a part of the Pohl Transportation Family since 2014, having heard about us through another guy in the area. Eric was Driver of the Year at Pohl Transportation in 2016, as well as Driver of the Month. Congrats, Eric!

In all of his years of driving, Eric has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest the trucks. Eric says there is so much more room, extra storage, they are comfier and overall just great. Eric also loves how quiet the trucks are now. A couple things that Eric loves about working for Pohl is the run that he is on and the rider policy, where his wife gets to ride with him year-round! 

Some advice that Eric would like to give to current, new and potential drivers is to give it 6 months to 1 year to figure things out. Eric used to be a trainer and he said you have to give it a while if you are not used to the company or the trucks.  Eric said his favorite place to stop and eat is Popeye’s Chicken and favorite snack to grab on the go is beef jerky. Eric and his wife Kandi also like to cook steak on their George Forman and recommends it to every driver.
