Shane has been a part of the Pohl Transportation Family since November of 2022. Shane heard about Pohl through a former driver, Randy Cox.  

The biggest change that Shane has seen in his years of driving is all the technological changes. Shane likes the convenience of the ELD’s and how much simpler it is versus paper logs. He likes to use Hammer Trucking GPS and an atlas for navigation on the road. Shane says the Volvo’s are very nice trucks with a smooth ride and they are spacious. Shane enjoys working at Pohl because everyone in the office is friendly and makes your job easier. 

Some advice that Shane would like to give to current, new and potential drivers is to not let the job stress you out, and make sure you have a life outside of the truck. Shane’s favorite restaurant to eat at is any kind of BBQ joint. His favorite homecooked meal is also anything BBQ and his favorite snack to grab on the go is peanuts.
