Ryan joined the Pohl Transportation Family in April of 2023. When Ryan was with his previous employer, he would see our trucks at the same customers. When he was looking for a new job, he knew we had good freight and decided to give us a call.

Ryan has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being the changes in technology. Ryan went through the change from paper logs to ELD’s, and says the ELD’s are easier and that he likes to use them. Ryan likes to use his Garmin GPS for navigation, and another tablet for google maps to have a satellite view of the customer. Ryan loves driving a Volvo and says the trucks are comfortable and driver friendly. Ryan enjoys working at Pohl because we do not bother you every day and we have great equipment.

A tip that Ryan would like to give to current, new, or potential drivers is to have patience and do not get in a rush. Ryan’s favorite homecooked meal is roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy. His favorite restaurant to eat at is Denny’s breakfast and his favorite snack to grab on the go is peanuts or cheese.
