Thomas joined the Pohl Transportation Family in September of 2024 after seeing our ad on Driver Pulse. 

Thomas has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being the changes in technology. Thomas went through the change from paper logs to ELD’s and says the ELD’s are now helpful. He likes to use the Truckers Path GPS for navigation and says driving a Volvo is like the Cadillac of trucks. Thomas enjoys working for Pohl because we are a smaller company and you can always talk to someone. 

Some advice that Thomas would like to give to current, new, and potential drivers is that backing is 50% of the job, so you’ll want to get it down quickly. Thomas’ favorite restaurant to eat at is Red Lobster. His favorite homecooked meal is crab legs and his favorite snack to grab on the go is Hostess Cupcakes.
