James joined the Pohl Transportation Family in April of 2025 after hearing about us through a friend.         

James has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being the changes in technology. James has spent most of his career using ELDs. He likes to use his Garmin GPS for navigation and says the Volvo is a great truck. James enjoys working at Pohl because we are a small company, everyone is nice, and easy to get ahold of. 

Some advice that James would like to give to current, new, and potential drivers is to always be on your toes. James’s favorite homecooked meal is gumbo. His favorite restaurant to eat at is Brazilian Steakhouse and his favorite snack to grab on the go is almonds.
