Ryan has been a part of the Pohl Transportation Family since 2015, having heard about us through his friend and fellow Pohl employee, Eric Booth! Ryan has been the Driver of the Month multiple times through the years- Congrats, Ryan!

In all of his years of driving, Ryan has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being Hours of Service. Ryan likes the new hours of service, he feels the 30-minute rest break within 8 hours really helps. Ryan has gone back and forth between paper logs and e-log and would prefer paper logs if he had to choose. A couple things that stand out as to why Ryan likes working at Pohl are the people he works with, the places he goes and that it is a laid-back company.

Some advice that Ryan would like to give to current, new, and potential drivers is to listen to the experienced drivers more as they won’t lead you on the wrong path. He said to take one step at a time and to stay relaxed. Ryan’s favorite homemade meal is steak, potatoes, gravy and a biscuit, and his favorite snack on the road are peanuts.
