Steve has been a part of the Pohl Transportation Family since November of 2022. Steve heard about Pohl through his brother, Tim Snider, who has been with us for over 5 years!

In all of his years of driving, Steve has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being the changes in technology. He says he likes the ELD’s, mainly because it helps keep you safe and legal. He likes to use his Garmin GPS for navigation and says the Volvo’s are great automatic trucks. Steve enjoys working at Pohl because we are very laid back and do not micromanage.

Some advice that Steve would like to give to potential drivers is to make sure your family is okay with you being away from home when you come into this industry. He says it takes a lot of hard work, but it is rewarding. Steve’s favorite home cooked meal is brown beans, corn bread, and fried potatoes. His favorite restaurant to eat at is Olive Garden and his favorite snack to grab on the go is trail mix.
