Jerry joined the Pohl Transportation Family at the beginning of August of 2023. Jerry had always seen our trucks on the road, so when looking for a new job, he submitted an application.

Jerry has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being the changes in technology. Jerry went through the change from paper logs to ELD’s and says the ELD’s are convenient to use. He likes to use the Hammer Trucking app for navigation and says the Volvos are nice trucks. Jerry enjoys working at Pohl because we are flexible and it is not extreme work.

Some advice that Jerry would like to give to current, new, and potential drivers is to always keep a safe following distance and do not rush. Jerry’s favorite restaurant to eat at is Red Lobster. His favorite homecooked meal is Salisbury steak and his favorite snack to grab on the go is fruit.
