This week’s Driver Spotlight is on Geoffrey Austin (Tractor 617)

Geoffrey started with Pohl Transportation in August, but has been driving since 2011. Before driving, Geoff made glasses as an optician, was a chemical kettle operator and a cable TV technician. Geoff also served in the US Army for 5 years in radio communications as a combat signaler. Geoff met his wife Susan while enlisted, they were both standing in line at the ATM machine. Thank you, Geoff and Susan for your service.

Geoff and Susan celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this summer. Congratulations on reaching that milestone in your marriage! Geoff and Susan like spending time with their 2 golden retrievers, Jelly and Bean. They enjoy riding their Honda Goldwing and taking vacations on it. One of their favorite trips was riding from Milwaukee to Gatlinburg. They have driven the “Tail of the Dragon” on US 129, which has 318 turns in an 11-mile stretch. Another memorable trip was driving from Milwaukee to Lake Placid, NY. Geoff and Susan belong to the Goldwing Road Riders Association; Geoff has taught safety courses through the association.

In the future Geoff would like to be able to ride his motorcycle on even more trips.

Thank you, Geoffrey for being a part of the Pohl Transportation family.
