Bernie joined the Pohl Transportation Family in January of 2025 after talking to one of our drivers out on the road.

Bernie has seen many changes in the trucking industry, with the biggest being the changes in technology. Bernie went through the change from paper logs to ELDs and says the ELDs have simplified a lot of things. He likes to use his GPS for navigation and loves driving a Volvo. Bernie enjoys working at Pohl because we are flexible and everyone is nice.

Some advice that Bernie would like to give to current, new, and potential drivers is to take a deep breath and relax. Bernie’s favorite homecooked meal is spaghetti or pot roast. His favorite restaurant to eat at is Panda Express and his favorite snack to grab on the go is vegetables.
