Jim started with Pohl Transportation in August and brings with him 28 years of experience. We feel fortunate that not only do we have Jim on our team, but also his son, Tom. Besides driving, Jim has several years of experience as a mechanic. Jim also served in the US Navy in ‘72 –‘74 as a heavy equipment operator on the US Navy’s construction team, the “Seabees”. Thank you, Jim for your service!

Jim has been married to his wife, Patricia for 44 years. Congratulations, that seems to be a rare accomplishment these days. Jim and Patricia have 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Being on the road all week, Jim appreciates the time he has when he’s home and can spend it with his family. Jim’s favorite time of the of year is Thanksgiving and Christmas, because he knows everyone will all be together. Jim has always wanted to make the trip to Hawaii, so hopefully he will get there one day.

Jim has driven in all 48 states and into Canada, but says he likes the ease of the Midwest – less mountains.
