This week’s Driver Spotlight is on James “Buck” Rogers (Tractor 644)

Buck started driving for Pohl Transportation in March, but started his driving career in 1990. Buck has driven local, regional and OTR and has pulled van, low boy, flat and logging trailers. Over his driving career Buck has worked in the logging industry, operated heavy equipment, worked in warehousing and for a spotting service. Before he started driving, Buck did maintenance work for a pipeline company. Buck was unfortunately laid off, so he started a driving career and hasn’t looked back.

When he’s not working, Buck enjoys fishing and reading. Buck likes reading mysteries, biographies, comedies and “who done it” books. Buck prides himself on coming to work and getting the job done right, then having a little fun at the end of the week when he’s home. Buck also enjoys talking to his great niece that he helped raise for a while; he is very proud of her and her accomplishments.

Buck says he enjoys working at Pohl and says that we have good equipment and really good benefits. Buck said that the office and shop staff are excellent and very easy to work with. We appreciate you too, Buck and all our drivers! Thank you for being a part of the Pohl Transportation family.
