Last week was what we have termed “the week of retirements” here at Pohl Transportation. We were very sad to lose not one, not two, but three of our veteran drivers to retirement! We are so happy for them all, but were definitely sad to see them go.

First to hang up his driving hat was Steve Pruett, truck 570. Steve has been working for us since 9/4/16. Steve was always polite, always a joy to talk to! When we asked Steve what he was going to do now, he said he was going to just enjoy being retired for a while! He thought that down the road he might try to find a job hauling grain for a local farmer. Steve’s girlfriend has two grandkids that she watches, so Steve might help her from time to time. In fact, in the next couple of months they will be moving in with them!
